COVID-19 Research Updates
Due to the evolving and escalating developments regarding COVID-19 both globally and locally, we need to put in place measures to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of patients and staff engaged in research is not compromised. As resources and accessibility to certain resources may be limited over time, we need to ensure that our efforts are expended on what is deemed essential business conduct as opposed to business as usual. To this end we provide the attached guidelines that state WH's COVID-19 Research contingencies that we ask that you familiarise yourself with and make participants and sponsor aware of.
As the COVID-19 situation changes on a daily basis, aspects of this correspondence may need to be further adapted to reflect the changing status of the world we are currently living in. At all times, decisions should be underpinned around ensuring participant and staff safety and wellbeing. The following contingencies must be interpreted with consideration to the evolving directives issued by the WH Executive, DHHS and State/Fed Government in relation to responding to the COVID-19 crisis.
Western Health will prioritise projects relating to COVID-19, please highlight this in your email submission to [email protected]
